  • Education is a basic human right and should be made available to everyone.
  • Pace is too slow to achieve the MDG target of ensuring that, globally, children will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling by 2015.
  • The quality of schooling and levels of learning achievement remain major issues everywhere and can have a crucial impact on the frequency and duration of school attendance.

East Asia is successful development experience is attributed to several factors, such as political institutions which are popularly discussed in previous researches. However, emphasizing on education is another important essence maintaining continuing growth in Asian Tigers, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea where Confucianism is popularly believed and followed. I examine the development in Middle East countries with primary education, as one of the most significant growing characteristics in East Asia, to see whether this variable also critically contribute to Middle East countries prosperity.
